Request for Alternative Value Exchange

THIS OPTION IS OFFERED AS A MEANS OF SUPPORTING FAMILIES WHO ARE TRULY IN NEED. There are a limited number of alternative value exchanges offered each year, and we hope to reserve those for families that couldn’t otherwise attend SOLA’s programs.

We make every attempt to accommodate a family’s wish for their children to be part of the SOLA learning community. Through alternative value exchanges and reciprocal economics, we are also supporting a shift around the commodification of private or alternative education. We ask each family to understand that their request for work-trade or other value exchange may or may not be fully supported, dependent upon SOLA’s annual operating budget. We will contact you to set up an in-person conference to finalize details. Here are the steps for consideration and approval of an alternative value exchange with SOLA:

  • Student/Parent must have completed the SOLA application, classroom visit (or alternative), and enrollment approved by SOLA

  • Value Exchange/Work Trade form (below) must be completed and submitted

  • Financial Conference must be completed

  • Enrollment and fee agreement must be completed and signed

  • Background Check must be agreed to and performed, with satisfactory results
